Hui O Wa’a Kaulua is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in Maui County whose main focus is education through Polynesian voyaging. We thank all of our friends that have supported us over the years. We are looking forward to continue providing voyaging experiences to the community.
MAHALO TO OUR FRIENDS & SUPPORTERS!
Thank you to all of the people who have continue to support the Mo’okiha o Pi’ilani. This canoe has been touched by many people in the community and it is now her turn to do what she was meant to do. Students on board the deep-sea voyaging canoe will have the chance to learn leadership values and cultural knowledge in a unique environment that is not bound by walls. Consider participating in our educational sailing programs aboard Mo’okiha o Pi’ilani, Mo’olele, or an in house training experience in trade for your donation.
It is the Hui o Wa’a Kaulua’s mission to conduct model educational programs to excite and challenge the youth and their communities to learn, respect, and care for their natural and social environment. Through the importance of sustainability and respect for the environment stressed on the wa’a, all of Maui will benefit from the people the canoe touches. Her presence, alone, is a symbol that honors the rich maritime history of these islands. Mo’okiha is for our community and youth.
We are urgently seeking generous supporters who understand the need for cultural awareness and education. Your kokua will enable us to continue our youth programs, begin sailing, and sustain these ancient traditions. Your company can help us by providing funds in the form of a grant or by donating goods and services. A copy of our tax-exempt certificate is available upon request.
Thank you in advance for your support.
